Is BKRDY actually free?

Yes. The Free plan is $0 forever, not a trial. No card, no expiry date, no booking caps. We make money when businesses outgrow Free and upgrade for premium features.

Do I need a credit card to sign up?

No. You sign up with Google or email, pick a template, and your site is live. A card only comes into it if you move to a paid plan later, and that starts with 7 days free.

Can I take payments and deposits on the Free plan?

Yes. Connect your own Stripe account and take deposits or full payments at booking. BKRDY adds no transaction fee; you pay only Stripe’s standard rate and payouts go straight to your bank.

Is there a limit on appointments?

No. Unlimited appointments on every plan, including Free.

What’s the catch?

Free includes 4 of our designed templates instead of the full library, keeps a small Powered by BKRDY badge on your site, and leaves out premium features like text reminders, gift cards, coupons, loyalty rewards, and after-hours premium slots. The booking engine itself is never gated.

What happens if I upgrade later?

You get 7 days free on the paid plan, with a card on file, and everything unlocks immediately. Your site, services, clients, and bookings stay exactly as they are. Downgrading back to Free keeps your site live too.
